Reports coming from the corridors of the APC are that, after the Commonwealth, African Union (AU) and other international bodies have jetted in the country to facilitate mediation between the government and main opposition APC, the APC are set to bring forward more demands to the table to bargain with the government as the government aims to see the APC involve in governance.

Already, the APC are demanding for the release of all disaggregated data of polling station results from the June 24th elections from the Electoral Commission of Sierra Leone (ECSL) without which, they have vowed not to send their representatives to parliament and local councils.

Among the many, their fresh demands include; release of all APC members, supporters and sympathizers currently in detention, unfreeze all accounts held in commercial banks by APC members, supporters and sympathizers. All corruption cases against APC members, supporters and sympathizers to be discontinued and abandoned by the government, the demands claim.

They are also demanding for The ACC investigation of money laundering allegations against former president Koroma to be discontinued and abandoned, all travel restrictions placed on APC members and supporters to be lifted and all fugitive APC members, supporters and sympathizers to be allowed to return home and participate in party politics.

Efforts to reach the Publicity Secretary of the APC, Sidi Yayah Tunis to comment on these alleged fresh demands proved futile.

Two weeks back, he told the Voice of America (VOA) that they have no problem with President Bio and the SLPP.

He said they have problems with the election management bodies including ECSL, PPRC and the security sector.

Already, the Commonwealth delegation have met with former President Koroma and president Bio. After his meeting with the Commonwealth delegation, President Bio Tweeted that, he is encouraging the elected officials of the APC, including Members of Parliament, Councilors, Chairs and Mayors to take their rightful seats and responsibilities entrusted to them by the citizens. “I invite the APC to work with us in strengthening our democratic institutions,” President Bio Tweeted.
