Supporters of both the main opposition All People Congress (APC) and those in the ruling Sierra Leone Peoples Party (SLPP) have stated that the next President of Sierra Leone should not be for the party but about the individual who will unite the country.

They made this statement when talking about Agenda 2028 for Alhaji Musa Tarawally, noting that Musa Tarawally has a national appeal compared to other politicians aiming to becoming President.

Whether Musa Tarawally is from APC or RUFP, we will support him, Ambrose Vangahun noted, pointing out that when Musa Tarawally was Minister in the APC government of President Koroma, he helped and protected many south-easterners who were considered SLPP.

“Most of our people retained their jobs. Musa Tarawally paid the fees of our children to acquire university education and helped women in business,” Ma Musu Koroma in Kenema stated.

Fudia Sesay, a staunch APC supporter in Freetown said that to this moment, Musa Tarawally is helping some of the grassroots supporters in the APC including constituency chairmen and ladies, revealing that Musa Tarawally is not just a politician but has a very good human relationship beyond party colours, tribe, region and religion.

“Ernest Bai Koroma was PDP and moved to APC, in fact Ernest’s father Pa Sylvanus was SLPP but he became President, Maada Bio was NPRC/NUP but came to SLPP and became President. Let’s not talk about Siaka Stevens who moved from SLPP, PNP and APC and become President. It is not the Party but the Individual,” an octogenarian Santige Bai Kargbo explained.
