Hawa Bah Wanted by the Police for Alleged Political Protest

Hawa Bah born on 3rd August 2004, was the chairlady of Bike Riders Union BRU, and also an indigene of Kambia District, Northern Sierra Leone. She was accused of cursing political unrest at around 10:00 am on 10th August, 2022, and as a result of this, two people were killed in the incident on the above-mentioned date.

Hawa Bah is a Daughter of a business tycoon called Abdulia Bah, an elder and a philanthropist who was highly respected in society and was also killed as a result of local political fight in the country. The family house of Hawa Bah was burnt down to the ground by thugs, the matter was reported at the Kambia police station by  Alhaji Bah and others after all properties were vandalized and burnt to ashes.            

The police have already established that Hawa’s  father was killed  because  he refused to join one of the  political parties in the country.

 Hawa Bah was accused of championing the protest on that particular day, that resulted to the killing of two people. Politicians, especially the current District Party chairman of the governing SLPP Ambassdor Almamy H. Bangura, who is the current Ambassador of Sierra Leone to Guinea, saw Hawa Dumbuya as a threat and  wanted her to face justice  for allegedly causing political unrest or protests in Kambia District.

Hawa’s shop at the parking lot was looted and also vandalized and  her family house burnt down.  They are now looking for Hawa Bah and her family members  both here in Sierra Leone and in neighboring Guinea.                       

Hawa Bah is on the run as she has been declared wanted by  the police to help them in their investigation, the  police have issued a warrant of arrest for Hawa Bah  whose whereabouts  is unknown.

According to reports, she ran away for her safety because of the life-threatening situation she is facing. Her photos have been displayed at Kambia police station and police have encouraged the public to give vital information that will lead to her arrest.
